Department/Location: Admissions Department, New Bedford
Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent (GED), Bachelor's preferred
Pay Rate: $27 (Education & experience dependent)
Status: Full time
Schedule: Monday - Friday (9a-530p), on call for off hours

High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Admissions Manager Position Overview:

The Admissions manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Admissions/Utilization Review with the daily oversight of all day to day admission department responsibilities well as data tracking of multiple reports regarding daily census and utilization.

Admissions Manager Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Audit referral data, denial logs, and waitlists for bedded levels of care.
  • Maintain the client census, ensuring department is meeting targeted goals.
  • Distribute daily/weekly/monthly census reports to identified groups when Director of Admissions/Utilization Review is unable to do so.
  • Assist in the coordination identifying available beds across all bedded programs, specifically noting when changes in operational capacity are made.
  • Develop creative ways to share admissions and program related information to referring agencies in an effort to create collaborative relationships.
  • Support Director of Admissions/Utilization Review with the process of hiring and training new Admission staff.
  • Develop admissions staff schedule, ensuring appropriate coverage on all shifts.
  • Will assist with updating and/or creating policies that relate to the Admissions department.
  • Collaborates with all program management staff regarding the daily updates related to bed management and transfers between levels of care.
  • Tracking and ordering of Admission departmental supplies.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
