Job summary

Wild Adventures in Valdosta is seeking Admissions Team Members to help operate ticketing and guest services areas with safety and efficiency. You will work indoors and outdoors at various locations such as toll booths, kiosks, season pass processing centers, and turnstiles, while greeting guests and sharing park information.

The role emphasizes friendly service, cash handling, and adherence to all park policies.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in high school or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Strong basic computer skills and ability to operate park POS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain excellent guest service and resolve guest concerns.
  • Operate admissions locations safely and efficiently per policy.
  • Handle cash, PCI procedures, and cash register documentation.
  • Protect company assets and report losses or counterfeit money.
  • Represent the company to guests and team members in a positive manner.
  • Be willing to work outside zone to support park needs.
  • Adhere to park policies and safety procedures.

Job description

Admissions Team Members are responsible for ensuring the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of their assigned work location, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of their work location in both guest view and back areas while providing excellent Guest Service. Admissions Team Members perform all tasks with the focus being on the guest experience. Work locations include but are not limited to, toll booths, ticket kiosks, season pass processing centers, turnstiles, welcome centers, and parking lots. Communication of park information, admission costs and guidelines, safety rules, and crowd control are included in the daily job functions. Admissions Team Members work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and often perform physically demanding tasks. Professionalism and a positive outlook are required at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain excellent Guest Service and ensure guest problems are handled appropriately including directing, answering questions, interacting positively, and resolving concerns
  • Operate assigned Admissions locations in a safe, efficient manner in accordance with company policy and procedure
  • Enforce and adhere to all departmental, park, and safety policies and procedures
  • Complete all applicable department paperwork accurately and thoroughly
  • Operate cash register and have a thorough knowledge of procedures used in handling, recording, and counting money
  • Represent the company to guests and other team members in a positive & friendly manner
  • Complete PCI/Cash Handling training; perform in a manner compliant with company policies and procedures, including cash and credit card handling
  • Protect company assets: money, merchandise, and equipment. Maintain accurate records and loss prevention techniques by reporting any shoplifting, counterfeit bills, or any other activities that may be detrimental to the park
  • Must be willing to work outside his or her zone of assignment to fulfill general park needs on occasion
  • Ensure compliance with all Herschend Family Entertainment and Wild Adventures policies and procedures
  • Represents the company to guests and other team members in a positive and friendly manner
  • Satisfies Wild Adventure’s standards for performance and conduct. For example, reports to work regularly and on time

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience
EDUCATION:

Currently enrolled in High School, High School Graduate, or GED preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mustbe at least 16 years of age.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be able to wear appropriate job-specific personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be available to work days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must have reliable transportation
