Job summary

Vanderbilt University is seeking part-time permanent Admissions Specialists to support review and evaluation of undergraduate applications. The role includes training, evaluating first-year and transfer applications, and coordinating with admissions officers across territories.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Data entry into web-based forms with confidential information.
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Excel and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fully evaluate all components of a first-year application from intake to final assessment.
• Become an expert in 3–4 domestic territories and 1–2 international territories; understand transcripts.
• Understand file volume and deadlines throughout the season and adjust priorities.
• Read and understand manuals for bluesheeting and admissions evaluation.
• Maintain communication with Admissions Officers about volume, trends and corrections.
• Conduct paired reading evaluations with Admissions Officers from territories.
