Job summary

Harbor Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation in Granbury, TX, is seeking an Admissions Director to lead the entire admissions process, ensuring a compassionate, compliant experience for prospective residents and families. The role partners with clinical, marketing, and admin teams to maximize occupancy, assess eligibility, and streamline transitions into care.

A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field and 3+ years in long-term care admissions are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of admissions or case management experience in long term care or skilled nursing.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and payer source requirements for skilled nursing facilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full admissions cycle from inquiry to move-in with accurate documentation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, and referral sources.
• Assess prospective residents for level of care and eligibility.
• Coordinate care plans with clinical and administrative teams for compliance.
• Monitor occupancy and implement strategies to meet census goals with high care standards.
• Provide leadership and training to admissions staff.
• Prepare and present regular admissions activity reports to senior management.
• Represent the facility at community events to promote services and build awareness.
