Job summary

Orchard Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Admissions Director to lead the admissions process, guide families, and promote a seamless move-in experience within our community in Towson, MD. This full-time role emphasizes compassion, accuracy, and collaboration with healthcare partners.

The position offers an $80k–$86k annual, all-inclusive salary and a supportive environment focused on quality care, teamwork, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in Admissions, Marketing, or similar role in healthcare.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to engage families with empathy and professionalism.
• Proven ability to build relationships, manage sensitive conversations, and guide families through decisions.
• Ability to work flexible hours due to admissions/marketing responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging tours and clearly communicate services and community options.
• Assess the needs of potential residents to ensure appropriate placement and safety.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, social workers, and families for necessary documents.

• Lead admissions efforts focusing on responsiveness, relationships, and census goals.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition for new residents.

Responsibilities for Admissions Director:

• Oversee and manage the entire admissions process from initial inquiry through resident move-in, ensuring a seamless and compassionate experience for prospective residents and their families.
• Conduct engaging and informative tours for prospective residents and families, clearly communicating our services, care options, and community environment.
• Assess the needs of potential residents to ensure appropriate placement and a strong fit within the community, prioritizing safety, well-being, and quality of care.
• Coordinate closely with healthcare providers, social workers, and family members to gather necessary documentation and ensure a smooth and timely admissions process.
• Maintain accurate, organized resident records in full compliance with state regulations, federal guidelines, and privacy laws.
• Lead admissions efforts with a focus on responsiveness, relationship-building, and maintaining strong community partnerships to support census goals.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition for new residents and a positive first experience within the community.

Qualifications for Admissions Director:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Admissions, Marketing, or a similar role within a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage families with empathy and professionalism.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, manage sensitive conversations, and guide families through decision‑making processes.
• Ability to work flexible hours, as admissions and marketing responsibilities may require.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
