Job summary

Del Amo Behavioral Health is seeking an Intake Coordinator to support admissions screening and crisis intervention at our Torrance campus. The role responds to requests by phone or in person and coordinates referrals to hospital staff and services.

The position works within a multidisciplinary hospital environment, where admissions are facilitated through collaboration with the Business Office, Utilization Review and Nursing Services to ensure timely patient intake and appropriate care planning.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
• Credentials: Completion of program or minimum of two (2) year's experience as/or EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant, Healthcare Intake/Admissions or related preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all persons requesting assistance by telephone or in person and provide admissions screening, crisis intervention and referrals to Hospital staff and services.
• Admissions to the Hospital are facilitated through coordinated efforts with the Business Office, Utilization Review and the Department of Nursing Services.
