The Admissions Counselor will perform biopsychosocial assessments for adults 18+, coordinate client assignments, and provide referrals as needed, supporting Recovery Support Services - MICA PC at the Lakewood location.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or another recognized mental health discipline.
• Licensure in NJ (LSW, LAC, LAMFT, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) is required/preferred.
• Experience working with adults with emotional and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and formulate diagnoses.
• Determine appropriate level of care according to ASAM Criteria.
• Complete medical record documentation and ensure timely entry per policy.
• Admit or refer clients to agency programs or external providers as needed.
• Maintain and update caseload reports and documentation accurately.
• Participate in supervision and staff meetings and complete Individual Service Plans.
