Job summary

Temple University in Philadelphia is seeking an Admissions Counselor to recruit and select undergraduate domestic first-year students and to represent the University in a professional, knowledgeable, and responsive manner. Recruitment includes extensive travel to high schools, college fairs, and other programs to talk with students, parents, and high school counselors about Temple University.

The role also involves reading and evaluating freshman applications and presenting on-campus information

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Admissions related experience preferred.
• Experience planning, facilitating, and participating in on-campus and off-campus recruitment events and delivering informational presentations to individuals and groups.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and select undergraduate domestic first-year students.
• Travel extensively to high schools, college fairs, and programs to engage students, parents, and counselors.
• Read and evaluate freshman applications.
• Present on-campus information sessions to prospective students and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
