Job summary

Xavier University of Louisiana is seeking an Admissions Counselor to join the Office of Admissions in New Orleans. This role participates in all phases of the student recruitment process and reports to the Senior Associate Director of Admissions.

The candidate will manage a recruitment territory, implement strategic initiatives, and work evenings and weekends as needed to hit recruitment objectives. AA/ EOE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with marketing/recruiting preferred.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends to achieve recruiting objectives.
• Must possess a valid United States driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate Xavier's mission to prospective students, counselors, alumni, and stakeholders.
• Extensive travel to high schools, college fairs, and churches.
• Plan and implement on-campus and off-campus admissions programs.
• Counsel transfer students, entering freshmen and international students through the admissions process.
• Conduct on-campus interviews with prospective students and families.
