Valley Hope of Cushing is seeking an Admissions Counselor to join our admissions team in a full-time capacity. The role focuses on evaluating prospective patients, coordinating admissions, and ensuring appropriate levels of care within VHA programs.

The candidate will perform biopsychosocial assessments, utilize ASAM criteria, and handle pre-certification processes while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate EMR entries.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in behavioral sciences, education, or social work.
• Fully licensed or under-supervision as an LADC, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
• One year of clinical counseling or case management experience; preference in addiction treatment.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsabilidades

• Support prospective patients and secure VHA as their service provider.
• Use good judgement and industry knowledge to place patients into appropriate programs.
• Conduct clinical assessments including biopsychosocial and ASAM screening.
• Assess level of care to determine residential, partial hospitalization, IOP, or outpatient needs.
• Assign diagnostic codes based on intake assessments.
• Complete pre-certification insurance processes for admissions.
• Maintain electronic records accurately in EMR systems.
• Provide back-up support during pre-admissions calls and scheduling.
