Position Overview
The
Admissions Counselor and Program Coordinator is a dynamic, year-round position that blends student recruitment with summer program planning and execution. You’ll guide prospective families through the admissions and enrollment journey for EXPLO’s Summer Programs while also playing a key role in developing student life programming. During the summer, you’ll live on campus and serve as
Programming Director, directly overseeing weekend and evening activities for students.
What You’ll Do
Admissions + Recruitment (80%):
- Manage a portfolio of prospective families from initial inquiry through enrollment.
- Implement outreach strategies across phone, email, web, and in-person channels.
- Interview and evaluate applicants, supporting a diverse and inclusive community.
- Meet enrollment goals by developing effective sales and relationship-building strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Financial Aid, Analytics, and Programs to create seamless family experiences.
Program Coordination (20%):
- Design and coordinate evening/weekend student activities such as trips, events, and on-campus programming.
- Serve as the Programming Director during the summer season, overseeing student experiences and staff implementation.
- Contribute creative programming ideas aligned with educational goals and student interests.
- Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure program quality and logistics.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 2 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, youth programming, or education.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with students in educational or enrichment settings preferred.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work select evenings/weekends.
- Must be able to live on campus during the summer and serve as a full-time seasonal leader.
