Job summary

ADAMS AND ASSOCIATES INC in Massachusetts is seeking an Admissions Counselor to guide prospective students through the admissions process and build partnerships to support student success from the start of their Job Corps journey.   • Experience may include successful Job Corps enrollment or successful enrollment in other youth development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive applicant screenings to determine eligibility and suitability for the Job Corps Program.
  • Review and evaluate behavioral, medical, and educational records to support enrollment decisions.
  • Conduct career assessments and provide counseling throughout the admissions process.
  • Make enrollment determinations and, when appropriate, refer applicants to alternative educational resources.
  • Partner with Center staff to ensure a seamless enrollment experience and support early student retention.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Center tours, pre-arrival visits, and parent meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community agencies, employment services, high schools, trade schools, technical schools, and other organizations.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Job Corps Center and community partners to strengthen referral networks.
  • Promote the Job Corps Program within the community to attract prospective students.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Share relevant information in a timely manner with the Department of Labor (DOL), Company leadership, and internal stakeholders as requested.
  • Analyze challenges, recommend effective solutions, and follow through to ensure successful resolution.
  • Collaborate with staff across all departments to provide coordinated support and services for students.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate of Arts degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of auditing and/or administrative support experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • May supervise assigned Work-Based Learning (WBL) students.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions & Student Success
