Job summary

Wayne State College in Wayne, NE, is seeking an Admissions Counselor to build relationships with prospective students and families, guiding them through the college decision process. You will represent the College at high schools, college fairs, and other events, sharing information and opportunities to inspire confidence in students.

This role requires enthusiastic communication, willingness to travel, and commitment to access and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Meet enrollment goals for assigned target recruitment area.
  • Schedule and carry out travel to respective high schools and college fairs within the assigned territory, including loading and transporting admission materials, displays and other equipment.
  • Present the College and the Admissions profession in a positive way to diverse populations.
  • Assist with on campus recruitment events and visit programs.
  • Present information about Wayne State College in large group, small group and interpersonal settings.
  • Evening and weekend hours required especially during the travel season.
  • Extensive follow-up communication (phone calls and email and social media).
  • Assist students individually and in groups to apply for Admission and address the college admission process.
  • Assist with orientation/class registration programs.
  • Host yield events within assigned travel territory.
  • Facilitate scholarship and financial aid leveraging practices.
  • Other duties as assigned
