Job summary

Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) is seeking an admissions counselor to recruit future students through personalized communications, community interactions, and events. You will be an on-campus front-facing representative, partnering with high schools and communities to guide applicants through the admissions process.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or related field and three years of higher education experience.

Responsibilities

Interview Process:

The interview process for this position will consist of three phases. Applicants who complete the application process and meet the position minimum requirements will be invited to interview in phase 1. Candidates will be notified of their status after each phase to confirm if they are moving forward in the selection process.

Phase 1: 30-minute interview with the search committee

Phase 2: 30-minute interview with the search committee (different questions will be asked), 30-minute presentation with the Office of Student Success and Enrollment Management

Phase 3: 30-minute interview with the vice president of Student Success and Enrollment Management

Job Summary: The admissions counselor is responsible for recruiting future students through personalized communications, community interactions and recruitment events. An admissions counselor is an integral and front-facing representative of HACC. They integrate with high school and community partners and future students in the very beginning of the student's educational journey. They are the employees who provide future students with a vision of what life will be like at HACC and how to get started with the application and admissions process.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or related field and three years of experience in higher education or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Licensing Requirements: - Valid driver's license.

Hiring Range:$44,213 - $55,267
