Join a private liberal arts university as an Admissions Counselor and support recruitment efforts by providing guidance to prospective students. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as organizational abilities, to effectively manage a designated territory and engage in outreach activities.
The Admissions Counselor plays a key role in supporting the University’s recruitment and enrollment efforts by providing exceptional service to prospective students and their families. This position manages a designated recruitment territory and is responsible for meeting goals related to student inquiries, applications, visits, and enrollment.
Counselors represent the University at on- and off-campus events, including college fairs, high school visits, and campus visit days. They meet with students and families to provide information on academic programs, scholarships, study abroad, and campus life, helping each student understand how the University aligns with their goals.
This role includes evaluating applications, reviewing academic credentials, and making recommendations in line with University policies. Counselors use a CRM system to track communication, maintain data accuracy, and inform strategic outreach through reporting and predictive modeling.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. A student-centered mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work with diverse populations are essential. Some evening and weekend work, along with travel, is required.
