Job summary

KeyStone Center in Chester, PA, is seeking an Admissions Counselor to perform telephonic and in-person risk assessments, crisis interventions, and manage the intake process. The role involves initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinating admissions, and determining the appropriate level of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or related field is preferred or required.
• Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with substance use/dual diagnosis is preferred.

The Admissions Counselor provides telephonic and in person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines approrpiate leel of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.

Education

Qualifications

A Master’s preferred but Bachelor’s degree required with a major in chemical dependency, psychology,, social work, counseling, or other related field.

Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with substance abuse and dual diagnosis population, preferred.
