Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Houston Heights is seeking an Admissions Assistant to support the admissions office. You will manage referrals, intake, verification, pre-certification, and the admissions process, acting as a back-up to the Admissions Manager.

The role requires a High School diploma, knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification, and at least one year in a medical office or healthcare registration.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical terminology and knowledge of process of insurance verification is required.
• At least one year experience in a medical office position or in a healthcare registration function.

Responsibilities

• Provides admissions office support for the facility.
• Manages referral, intake, verification, pre-certification, and admissions process.
• Serves as a back-up to the Admissions Manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
