Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking an Admissions Clerk to support patient flow and entry processes at our Covington facility. This role handles referrals, intake, verification, pre-certification, and admissions tasks, serving as a backup to the Admissions Manager and ensuring smooth patient access to care.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least one year of experience in a medical office

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Business or technical school training preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of insurance verification processes are required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare registration role.

Responsibilities

• Provides admissions office support for the facility.
• Manages referral, intake, verification, pre-certification, and admissions process.
• Serves as a back-up to the Admissions Manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
