Job summary

Stockton Nursing Center is seeking an Admissions Assistant to coordinate with the Business Development function to attract suitable admissions and integrate residents into the system. You will establish relationships with referral sources, conduct tours and pre-admission interviews, and explain all facility services.

The role handles inquiries via phone, email, fax and in person, extracting data for the team review and ensuring admissions are suitable with leadership for approval.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years related experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment
• Understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurable DMV record
• Compassion toward residents and families
• Knowledge of nursing practices, laws, regulations in long-term care

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Business Development to attract admissions
• Conduct tours and pre-admission interviews
• Review inquiries and extract information for team review
• Review admissions for suitability with Administrator, Director of Nursing and Business Office Manager
