Job summary

Texas A&M University-San Antonio seeks aStaff Admissions Coordinator to plan, develop, implement and recruit for degree and professional certification programs. You will review applications and communicate with applicants about admission status, while coordinating with advisors and program directors.

You will assist with registration by evaluating admissions documents, participate in campus information sessions, and generate data reports for various offices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use technology to track and process students through Graduate School Admissions processes.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with applicants regarding their admission status.
  • Initiates communications with academic advisors and program directors about prospective and enrolled students so that screening and advising can be scheduled.
  • Assists with registration by evaluating documents required for admissions.
  • Participates in campus information sessions.
  • Develops and utilizes computer reports to obtain data for reporting.
  • Trains student workers for approved tasks and cross trains for selected tasks with Managers.
  • Maintains an efficient filing system and provides information to students, faculty, and visitors.
  • Collects data and conducts research for Schools and research projects.
