Mississippi State University is seeking an Admissions Coordinator for the College of Forest Resources (CFR). The role reports to the Director or Assistant Dean of Student Recruitment and Retention and focuses on recruiting undergraduates to CFR and coordinating related academic activities and events.
Key duties include organizing college fairs, class visits, and workshops, leading CFR awards, and maintaining contacts with high schools and CFR partners.
The CFR Admissions Coordinator serves under the administrative supervision of the Director (or Assistant Dean) of Student Recruitment and Retention.

The Admissions Coordinator will serve the College of Forest Resources (CFR) at Mississippi State University. The mission of CFR is to foster the management, conservation, and sustainable use of forest, wildlife, and aquatic resources to benefit the people of Mississippi, the nation, and the world. CFR offers 4 majors and 16 concentrations and hundreds of careers. CFR provides students with ample opportunities to join discipline-oriented clubs and organizations and engage in undergraduate research.

Experience working with students, parents or guardians, academic administrators, and faculty. University level recruiting experience and demonstrated success.
No unusual physical requirements. Nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility. Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor. Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands. Job requires substantial travel, involving overnight stays, to perform recruiting duties and attend events Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
