Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking an Admissions Coordinator who can manage referrals and intake with tact and efficiency. This role requires clear communication, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to support timely admissions and patient access to care.

The candidate will act as the primary contact for referrals, gather essential data, verify benefits, and coordinate with leadership to determine service fit and staffing for admissions.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business or health care field preferred.
• Related admissions and medical insurance experience may substitute for degree.
• Broad knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient data entry and MS Word/Excel skills.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Receives and responds to incoming calls from referral sources/potential clients, consulting with leadership to assess capability to address client needs.
• Serves as the initial contact for referrals, gathering data, assessing clinical needs, and completing Referral Intake Sheets.
• Showcases exceptional communication skills, serving as a representative of our organization.
• Advocates for the patients to ensure they receive appropriate services.
• Communicates with leadership to determine referral appropriateness and verifies benefits.
• Staffs cases with appropriate team members in consultation with leadership.
• Collaborates with leadership team to prioritize and process referrals, updating referral sources and coordinating authorizations for timely admissions.
