Job summary

Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park in Gilroy, CA, is seeking an Admissions Associate to warmly assist guests and manage ticketing operations at the park entrance.

You will handle cash and card transactions, scan tickets, verify passes, and help guests with directions while following safety procedures and working weekends and holidays. The role requires reliability, punctuality, and a positive guest-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operates registers and/ or card readers – collects parking fees, sells admission tickets.
• Collects and scans tickets/season passes.
• Confiscates invalid tickets/season passes.
• Stamps Guest hands for park re-entry.
• Inspects park re-entry stamps for validity.
• Answers and directs Guest questions.
• Maintains clean work environment.
• Performs all duties in a safe/responsible manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Operates registers and/ or card readers –collects parking fees, sells admission tickets
• Collects and scans tickets/season passes
• Confiscates invalid tickets/season passes
• Stamps Guest hands for park re-entry
• Inspects park re-entry stamps for validity
• Knowledge of emergency exit procedures
• Answers and directs Guest questions
• Maintains clean work environment
• Performs all duties in a safe/responsible manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 14 years of age
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have full availability, including weekends and holidays
• Must have good communication skills
• Ability to distinguish ticket types
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10s and 100s using units of American money, weight measurement, volume and distance
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Must have the following abilities to satisfactorily perform the ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Lifting objects weighing up to 30 pounds
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and reaching above shoulders
