Job summary

A seasonal amusement park is seeking Admissions and Retail Sales Associates to engage guests and process sales. The ideal candidate will have cash handling experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while meeting scheduling requirements including nights and weekends. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Engage guests by identifying their needs and providing assistance.
• Process sales and returns using a POS system.
• Maintain appearance standards and ensure cleanliness.
• Stocking and retrieving merchandise and supplies.
• Maintaining appearance standards by cleaning floor surface, dusting counters and displays using cloths, brooms, brushes and/or cleaning agents.
• Processing transactions for the sales of park admissions, annual pass products, retail products and other offerings while practicing proper cash handling procedures and ensuring the accuracy of funds.
• Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies, procedures and training.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Job Description: Admissions and Retail Sales Associates at SV are responsible for:

• Engaging guests by asking open ended questions to identify the guests’ need and provide assistance with selections.
• Using suggestive selling and up selling techniques and providing accurate and current information regarding various product offerings and entitlements while meeting department goals.
• Processing sales and returns using a POS system; wrapping and bagging merchandise; Handle credit card transactions, travelers' checks and discounts.
• Stocking and retrieving merchandise and supplies.
• Maintaining appearance standards by cleaning floor surface, dusting counters and displays using cloths, brooms, brushes and/or cleaning agents.
• Processing transactions for the sales of park admissions, annual pass products, retail products and other offerings while practicing proper cash handling procedures and ensuring the accuracy of funds.
• Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies, procedures and training.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time, talk, have the ability to hear audible alarms, and voice commands with background noise, use of hands and fingers to grip, pinch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach, pull, push up to 10lbs with control, repeating motions more than twice per minute, repetitive use of an input device-a keyboard or mouse-in a steady manner.
• Have close vision with or without corrective lens, (clear vision at 20 inches or less), have distance vision with or without corrective lens, (clear vision at 20 feet or more), have the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus while in changing light conditions e.g., sunshine to indoor or dark conditions).
• Have the ability to maintain alertness and attentiveness up to 4 hours while working varying hours, have the ability to maintain concentration/focus (e.g., ability to interpret the work environment and make decisions on predetermined operating policies and procedure).
• Ability to work in small or tight spaces.

Work Environment Characteristics

• While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions to include direct sunlight, heat or cold.
• While performing this job, coming in contact with human/non-human bodily fluids will occur daily. Ex: feces, vomit, blood, etc.
