Job summary

Friends University is seeking an Admissions Specialist in Wichita, KS to recruit traditional undergraduate students for fine arts programs. You will represent the University at high school visits, college fairs and campus events, engaging with counselors, teachers and families to drive interest and applications.

The role requires strong public speaking and communication, with a Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Travel is limited to local and out-of-state events as needed.

Qualifications

• Well-developed public speaking, presentation, communication and organizational skills.
• Professional work experience in sales/promotion/public relations or related field preferred with the proven ability to meet goals.
• Knowledge of Microsoft environments including Word and Excel required.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required.
• Knowledge of SCT Banner, sales force, and Microsoft office helpful.
• Bilingual in English-Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit new students for traditional undergraduate programs at high schools and college fairs.
• Represent the University at high school visits, college fairs, and campus events.
• Communicate with counselors, teachers, coaches, and families via phone, email, text, and in person.
• Attend recruiting fairs and off-campus events; limited travel within and out of Kansas.
