Job summary

CIEE Inc. in the United States is seeking an Admissions Advisor who will be the first point of contact for prospective students applying to our study abroad programs.

This remote role emphasizes personalized advising and seamless application support across institutions, working closely with Managers of Institutional Relations and Student Ambassadors. You will guide students through program options and the application process, manage high volumes of inquiries, and help coordinate information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.
  • 1-2 years' experience in sales and/or customer service orientated field.
  • Experience in student advising, customer service, higher education, or a sales role.
  • Study abroad experience strongly preferred.
  • High energy, positive, proactive, team-oriented, problem-solver.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups and working one-on-one.
  • Strong attention to detail, exemplary problem-solving, professional written and oral communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, high aptitude for organization, excellent time management skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a team.
  • Fluency in day-to-day computer use including Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to use technology to improve performance.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

  • Valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Advise students on appropriate CIEE programs based on interests and eligibility.
  • Guide students through the application process and provide personalized support.
  • Handle a high volume of emails and calls and respond within one working day.
  • Schedule follow-ups to inform on program options and commitments.
  • Organize information sessions, webinars, and events to raise awareness.
  • Support recruitment and training of Student Ambassadors on campus.
  • Align outreach with partner institution goals and provide field insights.
  • Help the team meet qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Document call data and track progress in Salesforce.
  • Participate in regular training on programs, policies, and tools.

Who you are:

Admissions Advisor will support the Institutional Relations team by serving as the first point of contact for students applying to CIEE study abroad programs. Successful candidates will be responsible for serving as an expert for a specific institution by advising students regarding program options and the application process. This is remote, student-facing role with a strong focus on personalized advising and support. You will work closely with Managers of Institutional Relations, other Admissions Advisors, and Student Ambassadors.

What you’ll do
  • Serve as an admissions expert, advising students on appropriate CIEE programs based on their academic interests, goals, and eligibility.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to students as they begin, complete, and submit their CIEE applications. Offer individualized support.
  • Manage a high volume of communication (emails and calls) and respond to inquiries within one working day.
  • Schedule prompt follow-up with prospective students to provide support and determine the level of commitment, and execute strategies to inform students about CIEE programs at all phases of the inquiry and application process.
  • Organize and host information sessions, webinars, events, and presentations to raise awareness about CIEE programs.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of CIEE Student Ambassadors on campus. With the Manager of Institutional Relations, guide their outreach strategies and activities to generate and convert applications for CIEE Study Abroad programs.
  • Work with Manager of Institutional Relations to ensure alignment with partner institution goals and provide insights from the ground.
  • Achieve personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets (i.e., completed applications and conversion of those applications) set by leadership.
  • Document call information and input data into the organizational CRM (Salesforce) to ensure seamless communication and progress tracking.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on CIEE program offerings, policies, and tools. .
