Job summary

The Meadows Psychiatric Center is seeking PRN Admission Clinicians to support the Admissions Department with telephonic and in-person assessments, referrals, and admissions. The role supports patients across unit families and ages within a 119-bed psychiatric setting in Centre Hall, PA.

Pay is commensurate with experience, with opportunities for professional growth within UHS and its subsidiaries. Shifts include 7a-3p, 3p-11p, and 11p-7a as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services field required.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate referral and intake process and determine level of care.
• Facilitate admission and communicate with referral sources, families, patients, and staff.
• Assist physician and intake RN with face-to-face clinical assessments.

We are hiring two PRN Admission Clinicians, to fill in on the 7a-3p, 3p-11p, and 11p-7a shifts

The Meadows Psychiatric Center

is a 119-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Centre Hall, PA. The Meadows features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and has been providing, comprehensive services to patients for over 35 years. The Meadows is seeking an Intake/Admissions Clinician to join our Admissions Department. Pay commensurate with experience.

The Admissions Clinician provides telephonic and in person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. The Intake Clinician also assists the Physician and Intake RN by providing face to face clinical assessments, including the history of presenting illness, family dynamics and supporting psychosocial information.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services field required.
• Work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook.
