Job summary

The Meadows Psychiatric Center in Centre Hall, PA, is seeking two full-time Admission Clinicians for the evening 3p-11p and night 11p-7a shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays. Pay commensurate with experience.

The Admissions Clinician provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment, coordinates referrals, determines level of care, facilitates admission, and supports physicians and staff across units, with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services field required.
• Work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephonic and in-person risk assessments and crisis interventions.

We are hiring two full-time Admission Clinicians, one will be primarily evening shift of 3p-11p, the other primarily night shift of 11p-7a, both positions with rotating weekends and holidays.

The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Centre Hall, PA. The Meadows features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and has been providing comprehensive services to patients for over 35 years. The Meadows is seeking an Intake/Admissions Clinician to join our Admissions Department. Pay commensurate with experience.

TheAdmissions Clinician provides telephonic and in person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. The Intake Clinician also assists the Physician and Intake RN by providing face to face clinical assessments, including the history of presenting illness, family dynamics and supporting psychosocial information.
