Job summary

The Meadows Psychiatric Center, a part of Universal Health Services (UHS), in Centre Hall, PA, is seeking two full‑time Admission Clinicians. One will primarily evening shift 3p–11p, the other night shift 11p–7a, with rotating weekends and holidays.

The Admissions Clinician provides telephonic and in‑person risk assessment, coordinates intake, determines level of care, and facilitates admissions. Pay commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or human services field.
• Hospital experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate referral and intake process and determine level of care.
• Facilitate admission process and communicate with referral sources, families, patients and staff.

We are hiring two full‑time Admission Clinicians, one will be primarily evening shift of 3p‑11p, the other primarily night shift of 11p‑7a, both positions with rotating weekends and holidays.

The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Centre Hall, PA. The Meadows features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and has been providing, comprehensive services to patients for over 35 years. The Meadows is seeking an Intake/Admissions Clinician to join our Admissions Department. Pay commensurate with experience.

The Admissions Clinician provides telephonic and in person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. The Intake Clinician also assists the Physician and Intake RN by providing face to face clinical assessments, including the history of presenting illness, family dynamics and supporting psychosocial information.

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services field required.
• Work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
