Glovis America, Inc. is seeking an Administrator, East Coast SCM to manage inbound/outbound transportation for auto parts into U.S. plants and oversee container movements.

You will minimize costs while maximizing profit, respond to customer inquiries promptly, and coordinate with carriers and internal teams. This role is based in Duluth, GA, with relocation noted to Buckhead per planning.

Qualifications

Requires HS Diploma or GED and 4 years of Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or SCM.
Preferred 7 years of Freight Forwarding, Logistics, and/or SCM.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

Provide Inbound/Outbound Operation Services including inland trucking, freight forwarding and airfreight operations.
Coordinate and monitor US inbound and outbound traffic for auto parts; assist with documentation, inland deliveries, and customs operations.
Analyze inbound/outbound shipment volumes; manage ETA/tracking reports; coordinate with up to 10 inland carriers; report supply chain interruptions.
Support cargo damage/accident/claims in related parties; respond to customer inquiries promptly.
Monitor container moves; coordinate urgent container deliveries to support production lines.
Manage demurrage/detention/chassis charges; alert customers of upcoming charges.
Coordinate with Finance, Outbound Logistics, and Glovis IT (GENYSIS) for revenue, costs, and system enhancements.
Prepare required documents such as commercial invoices; maintain professionalism with customers.

Summary

The Administrator, East Coast SCM will manage the inbound/outbound transportation of auto parts into U.S. manufacturing plants (Related Vendors for Hyundai/Kia and Suppliers) along with container movements. This position also manages shipments to minimize cost while maximizing profit for Glovis and will ensure that all customer inquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.

Responsibilities

Provide Inbound/Outbound Operation Services including but not limited, inland trucking, freight forwarding and airfreight operations and other duties as assigned
Coordinate and monitor US inbound and outbound traffic regarding the transportation of auto parts with customers and provide assistance regarding documentation, inland deliveries, and customs related operations
Analyze the volume of inbound and outbound shipments by: managing daily ETA and tracking reports with customers, tracking/locating customer order statuses daily, distributing delivery schedules with up to 10 inland carriers, reporting supply chain interruptions to internal and external accounts, and supporting and maintain supply chain issues
Support insurance claims for cargo damage/accident/customer claims in related parties
Daily Coordination with Customer Inquiries
Monitor and support container moves
Coordinate urgent container deliveries to ensure production lines of the customers
Manage/control with operations, customers and truckers to minimize unnecessary costs
Update Genisys system container history
Manage Demurrage/Detention/Chassis Charges
According to contracted free time, monitor/alert customers for upcoming charges
Provide tracing reports to the customers to prevent/minimize cost
Manage demurrage/detention/chassis charges for all related customers, as well disputing charges with ocean carriers
Coordinate Internal/External Communication to Enhance Operations
Coordinate with various departments:
- Finance and accounting teams for revenue, cost accruals, vendor/customer account set up and other inquiries
- Outbound logistics team and customers for completion of urgent delivery orders in a timely fashion
- Glovis IT department for enhancing and maintaining Glovis's integrated logistic system, GENYSIS
Prepare required documents including commercial invoices, etc as requested by the customer
Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times
Responding promptly to customer inquiries
Communicating with customers through various channels
Provide Backup Support for Critical Operations

Compensation Range

$57,908 - $69,490 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
