The Home Health Clinical Manager/Administrator is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures related to the management, operation, and evaluation of the overall performance of the home health department. The Clinical Manager/ Administrator ensures the home health department employs qualified staff, including nurses, therapists, social workers, or other persons providing services in the home health department; the Home Health Administrator oversees the selection, evaluation and development of clinical staff to maximize the quality of patient care, productivity and utilization. The Home Health Clinical Manager works closely with the Home Health Director, Assistant Clinical Manager, QAPI Coordinator, Team Supervisors, Therapists and other staff and clinicians in the department to promote the highest standards of care provided to home health patients.
Education: Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in the field of nursing. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
Requires moderate amount of sitting and walking. This position is responsible for overseeing the EHR workflow for all departmental staff. Works in an office or residential or institutional home setting, dealing with staff, as well as, with patients experiencing a wide range of medical/surgical conditions at various stages of life. The commitments of the position may require evening, night or weekend work to meet deadlines and ensure viable functioning of the department. Physically, the position requires correct vision, hearing to normal range, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, full range of motion, prolonged standing and walking and ability to lift and move patients.
