Job summary

Cal Farley’s in Amarillo, TX seeks an Administrator to provide leadership over intake, assessment, and intervention services for youth. You will supervise service delivery teams, ensure plans are informed by evaluations, and promote trauma-informed care.

You will coordinate cross‑functional programs, monitor licensing compliance, support staff development, and manage on‑campus operations and housing partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may substitute.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in residential childcare, behavioral health, child welfare, or related human services field.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory, management, or leadership experience.
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams, direct care staff, intervention specialists, case management staff, or residential care personnel preferred.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavior management, and child development required.
  • Understanding of Texas licensing standards and regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Must be willing to live on campus (Housing Provided).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee intake, assessment, and intervention processes to ensure appropriate evaluation of youth.
  • Lead the implementation of intervention strategies grounded in brain development, relational health, and trauma-informed, evidence-based practices.
  • Ensure continuity of care by integrating services across departments, aligning assessment outcomes with treatment planning and placement decisions.
  • Provide leadership during high-risk situations, including oversight of crisis intervention services and participation in on-call support as needed.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings and intensive case reviews, promoting coordinated decision-making for complex cases and ongoing youth progress.
  • Monitor program performance and compliance with licensing standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies, while supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Intervention Services staff, fostering accountability, professional growth, and adherence to established standards of care.
  • Coordinate structured programming and daily operations, including scheduling, documentation, resident supervision, and participation in organizational meetings and training.
  • Support program administration and operations, including budget-related activities, staff recruitment and retention efforts, and collaboration on special projects and service enhancements.

The Administrator provides overall leadership and oversight of intake, assessment, and intervention services to ensure timely, consistent, and effective care for youth. Integrates assessment and intervention processes, supervises service delivery teams, and ensures individualized plans are informed by comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based practices. Essential Job Duties:

1. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Child Psychology, Counseling, Human Services Administration or related field is required. Equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree.

2. Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services Administration, Education Administration, Behavioral Sciences, or a closely related field preferred.

3. Minimum five 5 years of progressively responsible experience in residential childcare, behavioral health, child welfare, juvenile services, youth development, or a related human services field required.

4. Minimum 3 years of supervisory, management, or leadership experience required.

5. Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams, direct care staff, intervention specialists, case management staff, or residential care personnel preferred.

6. Minimum 3 years of experience providing, coordinating, or supervising behavioral intervention services, crisis response, behavior support planning, intensive case review processes, or trauma-informed residential services preferred

7. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavior management, and child development required.

8. Understanding of Texas licensing standards and regulatory requirements preferred.

9. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required.

10. Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, and prolonged sitting/standing.

11. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

12. Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL within 3 months of employment.

13. Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.).

14. Must be proficient in general office equipment operation.

15. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.

16. Must be at least 21 years of age.

17. Must be available for travel as needed.

18. Must be willing to live on campus. (Housing Provided)
