Job summary

Desert Sands Unified School District seeks a music educator to lead instructional programs across elementary and secondary levels, including vocal and instrumental music offerings.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Music, a Single Subject Music teaching credential, and at least three years of teaching experience, with leadership skills working with teachers and administrators. This on-site role includes a comprehensive Kaiser health package.

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor of Music or a related field required.
• Master of Arts or advanced degree or equivalent standards from a recognized college or university preferred.
• Three (3) years of successful music teaching experience, preferably to include vocal and instrumental music at both the elementary and secondary levels.
• Leadership experience working with teachers and administrators.
• Experience in working with ethnically diverse populations.

Licenses, Certifications and Other Requirements:

• Single Subject Music teaching credential required
• Appropriate California administrative and/or supervisory credential
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license
