Job summary

Avir at Moody is seeking a qualified Administrator to oversee the facility in Texas, ensuring resources are used effectively and residents receive high-quality care. The role focuses on balancing clinical leadership with sound business decisions.

You will coordinate with clinical staff, manage day-to-day operations, ensure regulatory compliance, lead department heads, and maintain a home-like, compliant environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration or related.
  • Two years’ experience as an Administrator of a long-term-care facility.
  • Current State appropriate Nursing Home Administrators License.
  • Reading and writing in English.

  • Oversee the facility ensuring resources are used effectively to provide high-quality resident care.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and long-term goals; supervise contracts and vendors.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff on individualized care plans and department heads.
  • Hire, manage, and assess staff; enforce policies and regulatory compliance.
  • Support marketing efforts to maintain resident census and ensure licenses and certifications.

Job description

Oversee the facility in a professional and respectful manner that enables the facility to use its resources

effectively and efficiently to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial

well-being of each resident. The Administrator will be responsible for overseeing all patient care and

business decisions.

Most time of the Administrator’s time is spent interacting with residents, families, and staff, or in

meetings, and requires excellent skills in time and stress management, a calm, patient, and professional

demeanor, and deep understanding of both the clinical and business aspects of running an acute care or

nursing facility.

Maintain the Rights of Residents as set forth by the Department of Health Laws and Regulations. Responsible for the oversight of all residents to assure they have received appropriate nursing

and medical care Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility and keep the organization on track for its longterm goals and mission Ensure contracts with independent contractors for therapy, physician services, pharmacy,

and/or dieticians are provided Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure residents’ individual care plans are being followed Coordinate and provide leadership to each department head and ensure an effective and

collaborative work environment. Responsible for the actions of all employees, enforcing personnel policies and procedures Ensure adequate numbers of trained staff for each department Hire and manage staff and employees at every level Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations Perform marketing efforts to improve and/or maintain resident census Assures all appropriate and necessary licenses and certifications for the facility Assures adequate inventories of food, chemicals and supplies are maintained Assure that the facility environment and all equipment is in good repair and working order to

allow for the provision of a home-like environment for the residents. Provide regular safety and compliance training Create and maintain a budget and oversee billing and set fees Act as the ‘face’ of the organization to the governing board, the public, and residents’ families;

and as a liaison between staff, residents, and families Other duties as assigned, with or without reasonable accommodations, to assist in maintaining

quality standards and maintaining the facility as a viable and successful entity

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration or related

  • Current State appropriate Nursing Home Administrators License

  • Keep the corporate office apprised of situations that could negatively impact the facility
  • Ensure only positive information is mentioned to all contacts of the facility, prospective
  • residents, staff, sales staff, and inspection teams, etc.
