The City of Big Bear Lake is seeking an Administrative Technician to perform a diverse set of administrative, technical, and customer service tasks. You will prepare reports, maintain records, assist with contracts and invoices, and respond to inquiries from residents, staff, vendors, and community partners.

The Administrative Technician performs a diverse range of occasionally confidential administrative, technical, and customer service functions that help departments operate efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities include preparing reports, correspondence, forms, and specialized documents; maintaining records, files, and databases; assisting with contracts, grants, invoices, purchase orders, and other administrative processes; and ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable policies and procedures. This position serves as an important point of contact for residents, employees, vendors, and community stakeholders by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information in person, by phone, and through email. Additional duties include coordinating meetings, public outreach and engagement activities, managing department communications, supporting software and technology initiatives, processing payments and cash receipts, and organizing departmental records and supplies. A successful candidate may also support boards and commissions, prepare meeting materials and minutes, assist with public records requests, manage website and social media content, and contribute to special projects that support departmental goals and City initiatives.

At least two (2) years of increasingly responsible administrative and technical experience , preferably within a public agency. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, supplemented by college level coursework or specialized training in public administration, or related field.
Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record or the ability to get from point to point for meetings, events and trainings.
