Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide proactive support to the TCP Leadership Team. You will manage calendars, schedule meetings, arrange domestic and international travel, prepare presentations, and maintain confidential documents with high accuracy.

You will also coordinate plant activities, support facilities, and handle mail, supplies, and approvals via DocuSign, contributing to smooth operations across the organization.

Qualifications

  • AAS degree in business or equivalent work experience.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and smartphone technology.
  • Experience supporting executives and coordinating travel and calendars.

Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars, schedules, and meeting agendas for the TCP Leadership Team and related organizations.
  • Coordinate plant administrative activities and staff events, including site-wide communications.
  • Arrange complex domestic and international travel, visas, accommodations, and logistics.
  • Prepare, edit, and maintain presentations, reports, and confidential documents with high accuracy.
  • Maintain filing systems, contact lists, and conference room calendars; support new hires.
  • Support plant operations by coordinating facility visits and office supplies within budget.
  • Process mail, supply orders, and routing approval requests through DocuSign or Finance coordination.

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

Provide administrative support to the TCP Leadership Team and their organizations in the business in an efficient, proactive, and quality manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage calendars, schedules, and meeting agendas, including coordinating appointments and meetings with internal teams, Corning stakeholders, external partners, customers, and visitors.
  • Lead and coordinate plant administrative activities, including staff meetings, plant calendars, employee events, celebrations, and site-wide communications.
  • Arrange complex domestic and international travel, including itineraries, agendas, visas, accommodations, and logistics for leaders, staff, customers, and visitors.
  • Prepare, edit, and maintain presentations, reports, graphs, correspondence, and confidential or restricted documents with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Maintain organized hard copy and electronic filing systems, updated contact and location lists, and conference room and workspace calendars, including setup changes for new hires and departures.
  • Support plant operations by coordinating facility visits, managing office and breakroom supplies within budget, and partnering with facilities and cleaning staff to help maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment.
  • Process administrative and financial support activities such as mail handling, post office box management, supply ordering, and routing appropriation requests for required corporate approvals through DocuSign or Finance coordination.
Education And Experience- Required
  • AAS degree in a business-related area or equivalent work experience
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and smart phone technology
Desired Skills
  • Ability to work in dynamic unstructured environment
  • Ability to create effective administrative processes
  • Accuracy of information
  • Technical support for conference calls and/or arranging appropriate media support as needed
  • Experience collaborating with IT executive support and running issues to completion
  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships at all levels across a global organization, while building trust and respect

The range for this position is $51,452.00 - $70,747.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
