Job description

Position Overview

This position performs administrative and clerical duties in support of the Superior Court.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Maintains Civic Center Director’s calendar; schedules appointments.
  2. Maintains the Civic Center Calendar of Events; updates for cancellations and additions.
  3. Maintains calendars for South Commons.
  4. Answers telephones, takes messages, answers questions, and routes calls.
  5. Prepares letters, legal documents, and contracts.
  6. Delivers mail to the post office and completes errands.
  7. Prepares and maintains event files for Civic Center employees.
  8. Orders office supplies.
  9. Maintains and manages contract files.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of operation of office equipment and computers.
  • Knowledge of Lotus Notes software.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Skill in operating office equipment and financial management software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications

Requires knowledge and competency typically obtained through specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills associated with a high school diploma. Sufficient experience, usually one to two years, such as an apprenticeship, internship, or similar position, to understand the basic principles relevant to the duties of the role.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The work is performed in an office setting, involving intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, or walking. The employee may lift light to heavy objects and use tools or equipment requiring dexterity.
