Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Administrative Supervisor Job Summary: The Department of Anesthesiology, UW - Madison School of Medicine & Public Health is seeking an Administrative Supervisor to lead and manage administrative assistants across a variety of administrative services. Such administrative services include but are not limited to faculty development, recruitment, and general administrative support. The Administrative Supervisor will report to the Associate Department Administrator and will be responsible for supervising administrative assistants across these services, while also providing support to faculty and staff, while managing day-to-day operational tasks. This role is an opportunity for a strong communicator, detail-oriented and organized leader to promote and foster an inclusive and collaborative culture, identify and implement process improvements, and create training and development opportunities for the administrative assistants. This position requires work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location. Candidates who demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities will be given first consideration Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated experience managing process improvement or change management initiatives Familiarity with Workday, UW-Madison, and the School of Medicine & Public Health administrative procedures is highly desirable Prior supervisory/management experience Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting to establish and maintain effective working relationships Experience working with medical professionals and career promotions requirements within an academic medical center

The starting salary for the position is $65,000 annually; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
