Administrative Specialist III - University of Arkansas

Summary of Job Duties:

The Administrative Specialist III is responsible for coordinating registration activities, assisting event planning and facilitation, researching and preparing special reports, managing school inventory and repairs, assisting school communication via emails, alumni newsletter and social media, and providing support to faculty, staff, and students. The administrative specialist III will also assist the Graduate Coordinator with records, forms, recruiting, and outreach projects as well as recording graduate committee minutes.

This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  2. At least three years of experience in a specialized or a related field applicable to work performed

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  2. Experience working in digital marketing, communications, or graphic design
  3. Experience using the University of Arkansas UAConnect system (non-student view)
  4. Experience providing student support services
  5. Proficient experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite
  6. Knowledge of the University of Arkansas campus and Bumper's College, including operations, policy, and procedures
  7. Knowledge with design/publishing software
  8. Strong written and oral communication skills
  9. Strong time management and organizational skills
  10. Ability to multitask and handle disruptions while working with little supervision
  11. Ability to take initiative with projects and tasks
