Administrative Specialist II / Driver Services Specialist II - 172690

This position is located in the Driver Records/Suspensions Unit - Headquarters- Blythewood, SC.

Responsibilities of the Driver Services Specialist II:

  • Process E-Citation, Mandatories/Points/violations to the driver file daily. Traffic Tickets, Affidavits, Warrants, Indictments, and Paper tickets are added to the file daily.
  • Verify information on E-Citation and paper tickets to determine whether they need to be returned to court.
  • Receive and process suspension notices that are returned undelivered.
  • Prepare documents for scanning.
  • Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.

Agency Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to learn and explain policy and procedures to DMV customers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.
  • Works in a general office environment. May be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled work week.
  • Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs.
  • The work requires sitting for long periods and significant time spent at a computer terminal.

Preferred Qualifications:

A high school diploma and two (2) years of related job experience.
