Salary

The salary range for this position is $50,815.18 to $83,252.20 for Schedule A, and $50,815.18 to $79,089.59 for Schedule B. New hires typically start at the minimum of the range. Salary increases upon promotion or advancement are generally 5%, not exceeding the maximum of the range. Employees hired before June 3, 2014, are Schedule A; those hired on or after are Schedule B.

Position Overview

The Information Technology Office (ITO) supports nearly 250 technical staff and manages applications and systems critical to the operations of New Jersey's courts and public safety services. The selected candidate will support operational, strategic, and administrative functions, gaining understanding of the IT environment.

Remote Work

The position offers a hybrid schedule with up to 3 days of remote work per week, contingent on installing multifactor authentication and having high-speed internet.

Responsibilities
  • Support daily operations for the Applications Development team, including handling inquiries, calendar management, and procurement.
  • Prepare and maintain documents, spreadsheets, and project tracking tools.

Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is required.

Qualifications
  • Experience with drafting correspondence, reports, proposals.
  • Knowledge of IT software, services, and resource audits.
  • Ability to coordinate meetings and perform general office functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Equivalent experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Applicants nearing graduation may apply, with degree completion required by start date.

Additional Requirements
  • Degrees from outside the U.S. must be evaluated by a recognized service (https://naces.org/members/).
  • Valid New Jersey driver’s license if driving is required.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. — U.S. citizenship not required.
  • Background check and fingerprinting for new hires.
  • All new employees must establish residency in New Jersey within one year unless exempted.
