You will be engaged in work that has purpose, meaning, and makes a difference in the lives of the public we serve. We work hard every day to build the public’s trust and confidence in our court system, which includes issues such as bail reform, marijuana decriminalization, and recovery court. Whether in a courtroom, administrative office, courthouse training room, IT office, or in the field, our Judiciary workforce is improving the lives of countless individuals and families daily. We honor the dignity and individualism of each member of our organization while fostering professionalism and continuous improvement in our work.

SALARY: The salary range for this position is $47,400.76 to $74,716.17 for Schedule A and $47,400.76 to $70,980.36 for Schedule B. Newly hired individuals typically start at the minimum of the range. Current Judiciary employees promoted or advanced receive a 5% increase of their base salary, not exceeding the maximum of the range or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Employees hired before June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A; those hired on or after are Schedule B.

The Judiciary offers a strong opportunity for growth.

The New Jersey Courts, Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action (EEO/AA) Unit, seeks a proactive and detail-oriented paraprofessional to support the Chief Judiciary EEO/AA Officer and team in daily operations.

The candidate must possess excellent administrative, reasoning, technical/computer, teamwork, and customer service skills. This role involves handling confidential information, requiring conscientiousness. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is essential.

REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary offers a hybrid schedule, with up to 2 days of remote work outside Judiciary buildings. Requirements include installing a multifactor authentication app and having high-speed home internet.

  • Maintain statistical data and create reports for EEO/AA management.
  • Coordinate with ITO and Information Security for hardware/software needs and troubleshoot issues.
  • Coordinate with Finance on purchasing, budgeting, and reimbursements, interpreting financial data and assisting in document preparation.
  • Manage calendars, including the statewide EEO Committee.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical presence at the worksite is essential.

Requirements include three years of office experience, keyboarding skills of at least 25 WPM, and valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle is necessary. Applicants must pass a keyboarding test unless they possess a valid certification or meet specific criteria.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US; US citizenship is not required. A thorough background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory for new hires. All hires must establish and maintain residence in New Jersey within one year, unless an exemption is granted.

HOW TO APPLY: Complete the application fully, including work experience and education. Describe all relevant experience in detail. Incomplete applications or those that skip required sections will not be considered.

The Judiciary of New Jersey includes the Supreme Court, Superior Court, Tax Court, and Municipal Courts. The Administrative Office provides support and development services.
