Job summary

Vail Health is seeking an Administrative Float Oncology to support Oncology Financial Navigation, Prior Authorization, and Infusion Scheduling. You will coordinate insurance authorizations, assist with financial counseling, and help manage infusion scheduling while maintaining patient access and confidentiality.

Two years of healthcare experience are required, with oncology or care coordination experience preferred.

About The Opportunity

The Administrative Float Oncology as a cross-functional resource supporting Oncology Financial Navigation, Prior Authorization, and Infusion Scheduling functions. This role promotes timely access to oncology services by coordinating insurance authorizations, supporting financial navigation activities, scheduling infusion treatments, and facilitating communication between patients, providers, payors, pharmacy, and clinical teams.

What You Will Do
  • Provides cross-functional support to all back office functions by being proficient in Oncology Financial Navigation, Prior Authorization, and Infusion Scheduling operations.
  • Coordinates timely insurance authorizations and reauthorizations to support uninterrupted patient care.
  • Schedules infusion treatments and related oncology services while optimizing resource utilization and patient access.
  • Facilitates the use of the EHR by capturing paper documentation, properly preparing the paper for scanning, and indexing documents.
  • Assists patients in navigating insurance requirements, financial assistance resources, and treatment-related processes.
  • Performs QA on scanning done by others, identifies errors by clinical staff, and addresses errors with the clinical staff.
  • Monitors work queues and resolves scheduling and authorization issues in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service, maintains patient confidentiality, and supports organizational values and compliance standards.
  • Works with clinical staff to ensure collaboration of patient care.
  • Assists in processing paperwork and completing administrative tasks associated with clinical care including managing records requests, orders, scanning, and uploading records.
  • Provides coverage for work queues related to continuity of care.
  • Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
  • Must be HIPAA compliant

Experience

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
Hourly Pay:: $22.60 USD - $29.67 USD
