Under the general direction of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, the Administrative Executive Associate (Higher Education Associate) provides executive-level administrative, operational, and strategic support to advance the division's goals and priorities. The incumbent exercises independent judgment and serves as a key liaison among campus stakeholders, CUNY offices, and external partners.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, key duties include but are not limited to:
Oversees and coordinate executive-level administrative and operational functions, including strategic priority management, high-level communications, and implementation of divisional initiatives.
Lead and coordinate special projects and strategic initiatives related to enrollment management, student affairs, student success, retention, and institutional effectiveness, including developing implementation plans, monitoring progress, and evaluating outcomes.
Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports to support executive decision-making, strategic planning, assessment activities, accreditation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Serve as a liaison and representative of the Vice President's Office by fostering collaboration among academic and administrative departments, CUNY Central Office, students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
Coordinate divisional planning, communications, and operational activities, including leadership meetings, committees, task forces, major events, and cross-functional initiatives that support institutional priorities.
Support budget planning and fiscal operations by tracking expenditures, preparing analyses, and ensuring compliance with College and University policies.
Develop, implement, and monitor administrative processes, policies, and procedures to improve operational effectiveness, service delivery, compliance, and organizational efficiency across the division.
May provide project-based leadership and limited supervision of administrative staff as assigned, including managing office operations, supporting professional development efforts, and contributing to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and student-centered service.
Bachelor's Degree and six years' relevant experience required.
Executive Support: 3+ years of experience supporting senior-level executives preferred.
