Tufts University’s Global Education team seeks an Administrative Coordinator to support international programs and study abroad initiatives. Under limited supervision, you will handle confidential matters and coordinate department operations, calendars, and communications.
You will be a primary resource for students, faculty, staff and external partners, producing complex documents, preparing meetings and assisting with budgets and payroll-related tasks as needed.
Tufts Global Education serves as a hub of international programs and initiatives at the School of Arts and Sciences and School of Engineering. TGE oversees study abroad, international exchange programs, international learning collaborations, and faculty-led custom programs. It operates 11 programs, Tufts Programs Abroad, in Chile, China, Ghana, Hong Kong, Japan, London, Madrid, Oxford, Paris, Pavia, and Tubingen. TGE facilitates student participation in approved partner programs worldwide and develops custom programs abroad during winter and summer sessions. Around 45% of the junior class studies abroad for a semester or full academic year. The division hosts international exchange students and visiting scholars who attend Tufts for an academic term or custom program, and offers international summer research and internship opportunities. The division works with faculty, students, and Tufts University on global engagement.
Under limited supervision, the Administrative Coordinator provides advanced administrative support and coordinates operations for a department or business unit. The role handles confidential situations, resolves problems, and serves as the primary resource for students, faculty, staff, and other constituents.
Basic Requirements:
This is a hybrid role that is expected to be in person most days during the academic year with the possibility of additional remote flexibility during university breaks. There is occasional evening or early work hours and a few weekend hours for specific planned events.
Minimum $27.85, Midpoint $33.15, Maximum $38.50. Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
