Job summary

Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving associate to maintain accurate inventory records, receive and issue materials, and support forklift operations. This role requires a high school diploma and a valid driver's license, with 4 years’ experience in warehousing and data entry.

Shift work is required; on-site location at our San Antonio facility offers consistent hours and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift or material-handling equipment certification preferred.
• Shift work required.
• 4 years: Experience in inventory, warehousing, shipping, receiving, logistics, or material handling.
• 4 years: Experience with data entry, inventory systems, databases, or Microsoft Office.
• 4 years: Experience providing customer service and communicating with internal or external customers.
• A valid/clear driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and material locations.
• Support the receiving, stocking, issuing, and tracking of materials.
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Provide responsive service to internal customers and departments.
• Operate a forklift safely on a regularly basis to load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Receive, inspect, label, stock, and issue inventory materials.
• Enter inventory transactions and maintain accurate electronic records.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventories.
• Research discrepancies and maintain clean, organized storage areas.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and other Shipping & Receiving duties.

Objectives of this Role:
