The CUNY Mexican Studies Institute (MSI) based at Lehman College is dedicated to empowering Mexican and broader Latinx communities in New York City through research, education, and community engagement. The CUNY Mexican Studies Institute (MSI) seeks a dedicated and highly organized Administrative Coordinator (aHEO) to support its Academic and Student Services unit and the New York’s International Spanish-language book fair, FIL Ciudad de Nueva York (FILNYC).
The Administrative Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting scholarship programs, workshops, and cultural programming that advance MSI’s mission of expanding educational opportunity, promoting scholarships, and strengthening community engagement with Mexican and Mexican-American communities in New York.
Reporting directly to the Academic Program Specialist, this role will serve as a key administrative partner ensuring the efficiency, accessibility, and continuity of student-facing and cultural initiatives.
The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong organization and communications skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural academic environment.
