Position:Administrative Assistant - Justice for Incarcerated Survivors (JFIS)
Status:Full-time, Exempt
Location:Hybrid (in-person/ remote)
As a statewide, member-based organization, GCADV strengthens the network working to end violence so that all Georgians can thrive. We identify critical gaps in services and strategically leverage our capacity to pilot innovative approaches that reach underserved survivors.
GCADV provides training and hands‑on technical assistance to increase the capacity of organizations and agencies that support survivors across Georgia. We also build awareness among community members and policymakers about the root causes of violence, empowering them to advocate for more effective policies and responsive services.

The JFIS Program provides post‑conviction legal services to individuals with a history of surviving DV who are incarcerated in Georgia’s prisons. Specifically, JFIS primarily serves women who have been victimized and those for whom victimization led to incarceration. JFIS also provides training, education, and advocacy (including policy and legislative advocacy) surrounding issues affecting criminalized survivors.
GCADV is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Administrative Assistant to support the JFIS program. This role is responsible for managing program intake and case records, coordinating communication with clients and partners, and providing critical administrative support to legal staff. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and is committed to supporting survivors.
This position is hybrid, with regular on‑site work from GCADV’s office in Atlanta and travel within the state of Georgia for meetings, continuing education, and programmatic tasks. Ideal candidates will be based in (or willing to relocate to) the Atlanta Metro area, with the ability to travel throughout Georgia, as needed.
Compensation: $50,000 per year. GCADV provides flexibility, a remote office environment and excellent benefits, including employer- premium paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance; retirement match; and generous paid leave and holidays.
