The Court of Common Pleas of Northumberland County is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Hearing Officer at the Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, Pennsylvania.
This position involves confidential clerical and administrative duties which involve varied and moderately complex work methods and functions.

Starting Salary Range: $24,000

Typical Duties
Ø Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate offices.
Ø Maintain scheduling and event calendars with matters associated with the office which may include but are not limited to New Custody, Modifications and PFA Hearings.
Ø Review Custody Contempt’s and Special Relief packets and provide to the Hearing Officer for scheduling.
Ø Complete Temporary Protection from Abuse Orders and enter them into the PFAD System.
Ø Complete Orange Cards for daily schedules and submit to the Prothonotary’s Office in a timely manner.
Ø Collect money owed to the PFA Office and forward to Court Administration monthly.
Ø Greet visitors, handle inquiries and direct them to the appropriate person.
Ø Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Ø Completion of high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of secretarial and general clerical experience.
Ø Or, any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience.
Additional Qualifications/Preferences
Ø General knowledge of Microsoft Office products required; participation in training provided by the employer is expected.
Ø Knowledge of contemporary office practices and procedures.
