Job Description

The ideal candidate will represent the company while developing customer relationships and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Additionally, plays a significant role in ensuring that the office runs smoothly with the ability to work without supervision, strong time-management skills and good at multitasking, as multiple parties or duties may require their attention at any given time.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support covering the front office/administrative duties on multi-line phone system, and operation of general office equipment. Receiving, and distributing client purchase orders and invoicing. Customer Service Representative assists in administrative and clerical functions for the organization including but not limited to the following areas: Invoicing, Billing, Customer Service, and Sample Processing via FedEx/UPS or hand delivery.

Sample Processing:

• Will have responsibility for the receipt, distribution, tracking, storing, and disposition of all analytical samples, with strict adherence to ISO 9000; 17025 policies and procedures.

Other expectations:

• Coordinates with Operations Manager and other staff to provide clerical and administrative support as needed to various functional areas of the company; performs related clerical work such as data entry, typing, filing, sorting, mailing, or shipping, as required. Ensures protection of Company Confidential and Proprietary information at all times. Other duties as may be assigned.

Education and Experience:

• AA Degree or equivalent in education and experience
• 1 – 2 Years of experience

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

• Knowledge of basic office functions, familiarity with a variety of office machines required.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and employees to clarify issues and resolve conflicts and to work with a variety of people to respond quickly to differing situations with calmness under stress and pressure.
• Accuracy in finished product, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail with timeliness in completing projects essential.
• Has no direct supervisory responsibility, though may provide direction to support staff.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
• Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.)
• Ability to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
• Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
• Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

Additional Information

Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00 per hour. The pay offered is commensurate with experience.

Positions may be subject to ITAR government regulations (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
